Picnic in Kew Gardens

Monday was a Bank Holiday here in England and as as Dave had not been to Kew Gardens we decided to have a picnic and take advantage of summer finally beginning to make an appearance. We had a lovely lunch and afternoon spent wandering around the gardens. Unfortunately many of the flowering bulbs were over but the magnolias were in full bloom and we did find a patch of daffodils (and magnolia petals) amongst which to have our lunch.

must say you lucky summer's making itself known... we feel like we have been cheated this year and on top of that we woke up to a frezzing 8 degrees today - just a taste of what a winter we are likely to have!! PS Gr8 photo Brett!!

Talk about a host of golden daffodils... Think of us going into winter as you enjoy summer. Love Grandpa and Grannyannie
