On Sunday we tried Leo on his first solids and he loved it! I say "solids" but actually its a bit more like thickened milk. Baby rice is a very fine porridge but he took to eating off the spoon immediately and was forcing the food into his own mouth.
Of course this time around there was no Johanna (our cleaning lady in South Africa) providing a high pitched and sometimes excruciating (even if well intentioned and loving) commentary.
For now he's getting his food each evening before bath, breastfeed and bed and he seems to love it. Long may it continue...

Hi Guys
Just back from South Africa. We've missed so much. Can't wait to see Lara with the new haircut. Very brave but you must be thrilled with the result. We are really glad to have come back to warm weather and flowers plus a very over run garden. Cannot believe that Leo is already onto solids. Time really does fly. Speak to you soon.
