Last weekend was the final of three performances of the Wizard of Oz at Holy Cross. Emma took on two roles; one as a member of the lullaby league and one as a general. She undertook some very careful preparation for the auditions and was one of only 4 people in her class to get roles.
The past few weeks have been tough for her (and for us). She has had "Oz" practice every Tuesday afternoon after school for months and for the past few weeks on Saturdays too.But it all paid off with a fantastic performance, especially considering the small size of the school. Emma was animated and fun to watch (even maintaining her composure when she lost her shoe when the generals marched onto the stage). I think she learned a lot and gained some considerable confidence.

Well done, Emma! I wish we could have seen the show. you must ask Daddy about his experiences on the stage. Of course, Great-Grandad and Grandpa also did a lot on the stage
