One of the highlights of our holiday (at least for Emma and Leo) was a set of encounters with some octopuses (octopi?). I'd forgotten how relatively easy they are to catch and these we encountered on two separate days right up at the shore near our villa. After some initial nerves both Emma and Leo were happy to hold them and we even managed to encourage our neighbours at the villa (Liam and Owen) to have a go too.

Looks like they had fun... Not sure I would be keen to hold them though. I know Riley would not go near them.
It sounds as if you all had a wonderful holiday. I'm most envious!
