Well British Airways, despite using the tagline "The World's Favourite Airline", is not my favourite right now! But I have booked our flights to South Africa for December 2006 and we arrive in Johannesburg on Thursday December 14th. We are booked to leave on the 27th of December but that is only because bookings for return dates in January are not yet open; we will change that as soon as possible.
The bad part is that I simply could not get the seats we needed on the flights we needed. So Lara and Leo are booked in Traveller Plus (premium econonmy) while Emma and I are booked in Traveller (economy). I continue to phone and pressure BA to let me change but despite how much I fly with them they won't budge. Bottom line is that flights to SA over December are just very popular and they want to claw back every penny of revenue that they can get.
But for now please diarise Thursday 14 December 2006 as our arrival date.
