While at Melanie's home near Balito over Christmas the children came across a rain spider at the swimming pool. Surprisingly Emma was not afraid of it (usually she seems to emulate all of the other London girls and screams and performans at these things) and let it walk all over her arm. Apparently they are very passive except when defending a nest of eggs. In this case there was clearly no nest of eggs!

most certainly not for the faint hearted - I am not inclined to have any creepy crawly jumpy animals on or near me... very brave of you Emma!
For a girly-girl it's a very brave thing to do!
