Summer Holidays

After a lot of soul searching we've made a decision and paid the deposit for our summer holiday in July. And we'll be returning to Corfu. We've been a little extravagant (hence the soul searching) this time considering we'll be travelling with Leo who will be 7 months old. We've found a villa converted into 4 apartments in a lovely part of the island over the Internet. Flights were a nightmare though; very high costs in peak season. We've had to opt for a charter flight but we'll survive that.

The villa itself seems remote and isolated which is great for us. The rooms have airconditioning and there is a pool which should not be crowded as there are only the 4 apartments. All things that will be important as this will most likely not be our usual holiday. I'm not anticipating that we will be rushing around discovering hidden beaches in 40 degree temperatures with Leo in tow. Instead we might rest in the airconditioning, go out when it is cooler and use the pool a lot. And all of this should give Emma a really nice break during the summer school holiday which lasts more than 6 weeks.

Sounds wonderful. Maybe if it's successful we could rent one of the other apartments another year and join you at the pool during the day!

Wow Guys!!!! That sounds awesome but rather selfishly I could have suggested a much cooler destination in the southern hemisphere with a whole lot of family with helping hands too, AND this could have given us a winter wedding..... Just kidding as the Atkinson's snr will be away then and therefore impossible for the wedding! Sure you going to have stunning time there with plenty "chill out" time. Next year - how about, Croatia with us???? Miss you tons
and lotsalove to you all!!
